Hey there — I’m Gilles, the diver behind Salty Nomad.

I’m a certified PADI instructor, underwater content creator, and full-time ocean addict. This blog is my little corner of the internet where I share what it's really like to live and work beneath the waves — the beauty, the chaos, the salty hair, and everything in between.

You’ll find a mix of dive stories, behind-the-scenes teaching moments, gear trials, underwater photos, and the random sea creatures that crash my dives (looking at you, octopuses 👀).

But Salty Nomad isn’t just about diving. It’s about the lifestyle that comes with it — slow travel, solo vanlife, and building a life around freedom, exploration, and doing what you love, even when it's messy.

This is also the place to grab some salty merch — designed by me, inspired by the dive life, and shipped with love (and a splash of ocean attitude). It’s my way of keeping the adventure going, and maybe even helping you feel a little closer to the deep — even on land.
